Employee Benefits

The College offers a range of staff benefits, to demonstrate the College’s commitment to its employees.

Family Friendly Benefits:

A range of family friendly policies is offered including generous maternity pay after one year's service, paternity leave, flexible working arrangements and compassionate leave.

Childcare Vouchers:

By joining the Edenred childcare voucher scheme, working parents can save substantial amounts of money on their childcare costs. The scheme is operated by the College on a salary sacrifice basis, whereby you can sacrifice an agreed amount each monthfrom your salary in exchange for childcare vouchers, resulting in a saving on your tax and national insurance contributions.

Cycle scheme:

The College has a 'cycle to work' scheme, designed to promote healthier journeys to work and reduce environmental pollution. Participating staff can make savings on cycles and associated equipment through a salary sacrifice arrangement.

Season Ticket Loans:

An interest free season ticket loan is available.

Holiday Allowance:

The College has a generous holiday allowance for all staff, which is considerably more than the statutory minimum. Further details can be found on your contract of employment.

Pension:

The College administers two final salary pension schemes, LGPS and Teachers Pensions. Both schemes offer competitive benefits including immediate life cover and early ill-health retirment, subject to eligibility.

Library Facilities:

The College has a large library which all staff are entitled to join.

Training Restaurant:

The College has a number of students training to in hospitality and food preparation. As a result there is a training restaurant available for staff to use and try the meals prepared by the students at reasonable prices.

College Gym:

The College has gym facilities available for staff use.

Trade Unions:

The College recognises the following trade unions: UNISON, UCU & ATL
