            <p id="isPasted">We are seeking to appoint a full time Communication Support Worker to provide support for deaf and hard of hearing students at Richmond upon Thames College.</p><p>You will ensure that deaf and hard of hearing students are supported in class and are able to gain maximum access to the curriculum. You will promote awareness of the support services within the college and encourage awareness of the needs of deaf and hard of hearing learners with both staff and students.</p><p>You should be qualified to a minimum of British Sign Language Level 3, possess good signing skills and have experience of working with deaf and/or hard of hearing people, ideally in an educational environment. &nbsp; &nbsp;Good team working skills and a flexible approach to meeting the needs of all students are also required. &nbsp;</p><p>This role is for 36 hours per week, term time only for 39 weeks per academic year.&nbsp;</p><p>Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group (HRUC) and is one of London&rsquo;s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old&rsquo;s and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and a brand-new technology-focused STEM Centre in 2024. &nbsp;</p><p>This exciting and innovative new learning environment is located within the grounds of the current college site, so remains convenient for public transport links &ndash; it is adjacent to the A316 and just a short walk from Twickenham rail station and a number of regular London bus routes. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Please note: for individuals who start a term time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro-rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31<sup>st</sup> August 2026). We are seeking a full-time Electrical Installations Lecturer who is passionate about the subject and can raise achievement through motivating, challenging and inspiring our students. Working as part of a team to provide pastoral guidance and support to ensure the Construction and Engineering department can contribute to the success rates of the college overall. &nbsp;</p><p>You will be qualified to Level 3 in Electrical Installation, with experience gained within the industry, and have teaching / training experience.
